Following a challenging few years for everyone, the use of technology to communicate and work effectively has raised a question for all of us, are we digitally ready for the future?

The Humber Digital Skills project is co-funded by the European Social Fund (ESF), as part of the 2014-2020 European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF) Growth Programme in England, and The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) as the Managing Authority for the England ESF programme.

National Employer Training (part of the TEC Partnership) is proud to deliver the project in the Humber region (North, North East Lincs, Hull and East Riding).

Eligibility

  • Are you self-employed with evidence of a UTR?
  • Are you an SME with less than 250 employees and have less than a 50m Euro turnover in the last financial year?

If yes, your training can be fully funded!

Project aims

Provide practical support through coaching, advice, consultancy and mentoring to individuals seeking to improve digital skills to support SMEs to utilise digital technology to improve their products and competitiveness.

•     Assess the current skills profile of the individual, with a bespoke training plan which relates to the sector in which they are employed and the employer’s needs and develops the appropriate training option or provide access to it.

•     Drive-up skills levels, focusing on the digital skills being sought by employers or those identified through delivery that will make an impact on the SME business.

•     Deliver skills provision which offers both accredited and non-accredited skills training that is innovative and responsive to local skills needs.

•     Encourage more women to engage in digital skills and help address the gender employment and wage gap.

•     Foster an aspirational, digital and enterprising culture in SMEs.

Project focus:

To support the completion of qualifications/part-qualifications and non-accredited training of their employees in a range of areas, including but not limited to: 

•     Big Data & data-driven decision making e.g. Microsoft Power BI 

•     Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence

•     Digital Communications

•     Cyber Security & resilience to threat

•     E-Commerce

•     Digital Technology and Infrastructure

•     Connected devices – Internet of Things

•     Mobile strategy & delivery

•     Software Development Skills

Our provision:

We have the flexibility to deliver our workshops/courses at your place of work, at our training centre or at the University Centre Grimsby depending on your needs alongside a unique blended delivery experience of classroom learning and/or online learning.

Our support can be a stepping stone towards Access to Higher Education and Degree courses in a variety of subjects including the coveted FdSc Digital & Technology Solutions at the University Centre Grimsby.

Whatever your digital needs are, we can support you through a complete bespoke provision including a blend of accredited workshop sessions and qualifications to support your digital aims.
